Love

I have nothing really new or exciting to blog about. I'm just sitting at home, half studying for my Humanities test (I hate that class) and half watching shows on Netflix... maybe more than half of the second one... while Kris is at work. He has been working 8 hour shifts which is a long time to be on your feet. Today his allergies are really bad and he doesn't feel well but he's still there, working hard. I'm so grateful that he works hard to provide for us. He is a wonderful man who not only works long hours but also comes home during his break and makes me lunch. He helps out around the house as much as he can and I appreciate everything he does.

I was just thinking about how lucky I am. I went through a lot to come to the point where I was able to meet Kris and recognize that he is the perfect guy for me. Our strengths and weaknesses complement one another and I think we make a wonderful team. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband. Many people know that we got married pretty quickly. We joke that it runs in the family. My grandparents got engaged on the third day after they met and were married shortly after. My parents also had a quick courtship. I never intended on following in those footsteps but it amazed even me how quickly I fell in love with Kris. We couldn't be happier and we are both so, so happy to be married.

I am particularly grateful that we were able to be married in the temple (you can see the temple in the picture at the top of the blog). We were married in the Jordan River Temple, the same temple my parents were married in. For those of you who are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we believe that by being married in the temple, families can be together forever. We are sealed to each other and our children will be sealed to us (whenever they arrive) so that we can be together for eternity. I love that I will be with Kris forever and that I am sealed to my own parents.
