3 Months!

Lucy is 3 months old today. She grows so fast! The other day, I was comparing her growth before/after she was born. The first 3 months of my pregnancy seemed to take forever but these last 3 months have flown by! She seems to be learning new things daily. Some of our favorite new things she's learned this month are grabbing things and laughing out loud. She does so well at grabbing at things, even if its just me or Kris's hand. She has a play mat she lays on with toys over her and she grabs at the bird and pulls it so it sings. The first few times she did it, it scared her. Although with the grabbing has come pinching... she pinches me and Kris all the time! Especially when she is falling asleep or nursing, she'll pinch really hard and it hurts! We're still not sure what to do with that.

Her laugh is probably the best sound ever. The first time she really laughed she was laying in her crib and Kris was shaking her elephant rattle. She still doesn't laugh super often but when she does, she does it lots. The other night, Kris had gone to bed at around 10 PM but then he ended up getting up around 11 because he could hear Lucy just cooing and 'talking' to me and since he couldn't sleep anyway, he wanted to come out and see her. While I was changing her diaper, I started blowing raspberries on her stomach (I think that's what it's called... the thing where you blow on her tummy and it sounds like a fart). She was laughing and laughing! We were both glad he had gotten out of bed because I may not have played with her so much if he wasn't there and she wouldn't have been as happy without both of us playing with her and laughing. It was definitely one of the sweetest moments I've had with her.

I wasn't on the ball when she was first born with taking pictures on her "month-birthdays" but I started some today by taking pictures of her in some 9-month size clothes so we can watch her grow into them month-by-month.
Here's the full outfit. She kept wanting to eat the jacket :) The pants are hanging off her feet.
You can't tell very well in the picture, but this really is huge on her. I figure once we get all the months side-by-side it will be more noticeable.
This is her in some 9-month pajamas. We love elephant clothes!
I also thought I'd get some pictures of her in an outfit that actually fit and take some pictures in our recliner so we could use that as a point of reference as well. She gets camera shy and doesn't really smile at the camera a whole lot. As soon as we move the camera she'll by smiley but then bring the camera up and she clams up. She's still a cutie!

Here's a couple more. She was more interested in looking at her feet than looking at me :)

We love Lucy so much! Our love for her grows more and more every day.
