Here is my schedule:
Greek History- This class has been going really well so far. The professor is one of my favorites at BYU- Cecilia Peek. She spoke at a devotional last semester. It's got a lot of reading but so far it's stuff I already know and is just supplemental. She makes it really fun, though.
Writing About Art and the Humanities- This covers the BYU Advanced Writing and Communication general credit. Writing papers isn't my favorite thing in the world today, but I really liked my teacher's perspective. She said that no matter what your profession is, you have to write a lot, even if it's just e-mail. So, the point of this class is to get our writing professional. (One of our assignments is even going to be making a professional cover letter and resume!)
Greek and Roman Mythology- Another class in my major taught by a professor that I've already had and really like. I probably should've taken this a long time ago (since my major is Classical Studies) but it's just something that never fit into my schedule just right. It should be fun.
SFL 100 (Proclamation Principles and Scholarship)- I just signed up for this course because it fit perfectly into my schedule. (I have no classes on Tuesday or Thursday!!) I have really liked it. It's not a religion course but it talks about the The Family: A Proclamation to the World and brings in both spiritual and scholarly reasoning behind marriage and family. So far, it's been really great.
Introduction to Philosophy- Since I'm getting close to graduating, a lot of what I need is just elective credit to fill up space. This is why I chose this one. Plus, it's a totally online course which is great for me since I have a tendency to skip classes. The professor just posted stuff yesterday so I haven't started yet but it should be pretty interesting.
I also just found out that I can graduate either this June or August. I'll have to take a full load spring term and figure out how to substitute one of my major classes since they haven't offered it in over a year but the section head is willing to work with me. Six months from now, I should be done!! I will be taking a class independent study, this semester though. Hopefully I'll be able to stay on top of things. I'll sign up for that as soon as our grant comes. (yay FAFSA!)
Here is Kris's schedule:
Math 1010- I tell you what, I do not envy him taking this class. Unfortunately, it's required for everyone at UVU so its just one of those classes you have to take and get over with. He's been able to keep up with everything really well so far this semester. (I'm so glad I didn't have to take math in college)
Biology- Another one of those generals. Kris started this one last semester but didn't finish it since, you know, we got engaged, and he had MONO. This semester should be better since we're married and are able to stay focused a little better on school. Plus, he doesn't look like the walking dead.
Business Management- Kris seems really excited about this class. It covers one of his general ed requirements as well, but its a little more interesting to him as maybe something he might want to pursue. Luckily, this one is just an intro so he'll be able to see if he is interested in this sort of thing or not.
His schedule is made crazier from working. He's been enjoying Macey's produce but it keeps him busy. I feel like I hardly see him anymore but we manage. He has worked over 20 hours every week. I'm glad that he is working to take care of us.
Amy I know you have a ton of homework, but some night Kristopher is at work, you and I should a have girl's night!
