1-Year Anniversary

We had our 1-Year Anniversary yesterday. We had a wonderful time celebrating this weekend. Here are some of the highlights:

-Kris making me a delicious breakfast including waffles with strawberries and whipped cream on top, bacon, cinnamon rolls, and my favorite orange peach mango juice

-Going to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis--what a fun place! We liked their frog exhibit a lot. Did you know an African bullfrog can eat a mouse? Also, snakes and other frogs and stuff, but we watched a video of it eating the mouse and it was gross. Kris liked it, though. I also liked their Barbie exhibit.

-Eating at Chili's (we went there the day after we got married)

-Starting traditions!- We bought an ornament together to put on the Christmas tree. We decided to do this every year. We also did something really fun that I think I'd like to start as a tradition, but we haven't decided for sure. We bought a game that neither one of us has every played before and played that. It was a fun way to spend some time with each other, and although it costs maybe a little bit more than going to a movie would have, we'll get many more hours of enjoyment out of it. This year, we got DICEcapades! It has over 100 dice in the game and comes with several different cards, from trivia, to action cards (stack x amount of the mini ivory dice in 30 seconds or something like that), to pictionary-like cards. I even did sit-ups for one of the cards. But I got to advance 2 spaces. It is really fun and we like it a lot!

Kris got me a great gift, too. He got a picture of the Jordan River Temple (where we were married) that is on wood. It sounds kind of weird when I explain it like that, but it is gorgeous. I love it. He also got me a picture of the Jordan River Temple that we can frame but we spilled juice on it :(

It was a great weekend and I was a little sad to get back into reality today, but we can celebrate again in a year!
